Preparing for the delivery of a new structure, such as a barn, garage, or shed, involves several essential steps to ensure everything goes smoothly. Here's a checklist so you can prepare for this exciting day:
1. Ground Preperation:
If your installation site is out of level by three feet or less in any direction, no ground prep is necessary.
Wooden leveling blocks will be provided at no charge if the site is within one foot out of level in any direction.
If the site is more than one foot out of level, you must provide concrete blocks for leveling.
2. Accessibility:
Ensure that the delivery site is accessible to trucks, trailers, and set-up equipment. Clear any obstacles that may hinder access.
3. Adjacent Properties:
A rent-to-own contract is not an option if adjacent properties must be crossed to place the structure.
4. Permits and Licenses:
Obtain all permits and licenses required by local regulations. This responsibility lies solely with the customer.
5. Ground Conditions and Site Suitability:
Prairie Built Barns will not be liable for any damage caused by unsuitable ground conditions.
6. Obstacle Removal:
Clear the site of any obstacles, such as trees, limbs, and fences, before delivery day. This requirement is the customer's responsibility.
7. Labor Costs for Concrete Blocks:
Labor to place customer-supplied concrete blocks to level the barn is free until the structure is level.
Beyond leveling, labor will be charged at $150 per layer of concrete blocks placed.
